History

ControlPath, Inc. was created by spinning out the compliance technology group from a large security consulting organization, Accuvant, Inc., in mid-2006. The ControlPath software was initially developed in early 2005, and was first brought to market as AccuCERTT in February 2005. In conjunction with the spin-out from Accuvant, the product was renamed the ControlPath Compliance Suite.

Regulations and Standards:

The ControlPath Controls Library provides over 2,200 specific controls, with mappings to standards such as ISO17799, NIST 800-53, COBIT, and PCI DSS. Supported regulations include Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Gramm Leach Bliley (GLBA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Drivers Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). ControlPath also supports the BITS shared assessments standards (SIG & AUP 2.0) for financials.
